RIP Scottish football. Celtic humiliated again. Rangers losing to Hamilton. World Cup HQ in Falkirk. Virtually no Scottish players in Premier League...and SPL teams getting lower home gates than non-league English teams. So sad. Poor product means sponsorship is waning and will continue to do so. Name the last truly top class Scottish born player. It could take a while. -

It's a small country with a poor domestic league. And it's always been that way, it's just that in the past Celtic and Rangers' revenue was similar to the big clubs elsewhere in Europe.
When the serious money started coming in to the game it was obvious that Scotland wouldn't see much of it, a league which only two teams (or one nowadays) have any chance of winning is boring as fuck.
But what could have been done differently to change the situation? Don't feel as though Scottish football has done anything particularly wrong, they just haven't been able to keep up with everyone else. It's a similar situation elsewhere in Europe too. We've had European cup winners from Romania, Holland, and Yugoslavia in the past, can't see it ever happening again though. -

there is only 2 chance scottish football has
1, big money guy to show up, buy a club and spend 100s of millions on making them a big powerhouse team, then like buses maybe a few more money guys show up to out do each other. but i thats a pipe dream and a real long shot
2, just wait it out and hope all the crazy money being spent in other leagues just goes away. which im guessing would have to invole some sort of inforced wage and transfer cap being made law so the big money men get bored with there clubs and pull out of football, this is also a pipe dream and a real long shot
but there's always hope right ? (im crying right now) -
