The Central American nation booked their spot in Russia thanks to a surprise 2-1 win over Costa Rica last night, a result which means the USA miss out on a finals spot for the first time since 1986.

HOWEVER, Panama's first goal definitely shouldn't have stood.

That ball almost certainly didn't go over the line, not sure a single bit of it did. The fact that it is the decision that knocks the USA out means we are going to see a massive resurgence of the goal line technology international football discussion.
