West Indies didn't read the script, did they?

Still, better to go out on 100 centuries from 200 tests than make it a messy and unsymmetrical 101.

    Consolation.

Brilliant Scotty, it was a nice touch the way the Windies genuinely looked gutted when he got out, I didn't expect them to celebrate but the way they looked was as if Lara had got out for 0 in his last innnings

When the final West Indian wicket fell and they left the field, the Indian team made a rolling guard of honour to clap Sachin from the field, and at one point he appeared a bit emotional. What could you really do to show how much this guy meant to the team and the country in general? and yes 100 international centuries and 200 tests does have a nice ring to it. At least now that's a target for the youngsters to aim for.

I don't think anyone will ever match the achievements of Sachin in the modern game, when you think about the great batsmen he has played in the same era as, Lara, S.Waugh, Ponting to name three and he is miles ahead of them statistically

Yeah, it's hard to see it being beaten anytime soon, only Kallis is anywhere near at the moment regarding test runs and as for ODis, he's pretty untouchable as it stands.
Here's the test and ODi stats for most runs...

Didn't realise the 100 centuries were spread across tests and one-dayers, thought they were all from test matches.

In which case, fuck him! :D

Yeah, it's a bit naughty sometimes when they pair the 2 stats together, as it should be 663 International Matches with 200 Centuries...

Did you also notice the absence of any England names in the ODI stats!!!

and both Pietersen and Cook should get themselves into or close to the Test top 20 if they have a good Ashes series down under...

The best Indian batsmen they have seen in this generation from 70, 80, 90 and 00. Sachin has made Indian proud also the cricket world. He gets century after centuries and half century after half century. When he his inform he'll hit the ball all over the park with his brilliant shots.
