  Some are. I'd be surprised if Real didn't turn a profit on Ronaldo when all things are considered. Same with Messi at Barca.

  As a Utd fan im glad he's signed but not even the most hardned utd fan can say Wazzer is worth 300k a week i have become more and more fed up with rooney over the last few season every summer its i wanna leave all of a sudden he's offered more money then oh he loves the club and the fans and wants to stay dont have to be shrelock holmes to see the pattern but im happy he is now signed to a 4 yr contract as honsetly who could we replace him with thats not going to cost upwards of 50 million

  Why would we have needed to sign a replacement? We just signed Mata.

  hes not even worth 300k a week, the only reason they are paying him that much is because they know if they didn't another club like chelsea would. fair play to rooney but still not worth 300k a week

  rooney is being treated like he is up there with messi and ronaldo and he really is not! yeah he is a great player but there is great and then there is messi and ronaldo and rooney just isn't up there.

  it will be interesting to see what rooney comes up with at the world cup it will either make or break him because if he doesn't perform well everyone will criticise and that 300k a week will because even more of a joke

  The World Cup has nothing to do with his contract at United, nor will the tournament make or break him as he has already made it. International and club football are two completely different things.
