RETURN OF THE E-TYPE
Now here's a story to warm the hearts of even the most cynical old curmudgeons.

Back in 63/64 Jaguar were busy producing this, the Lightweight E-Type.

However, only 12 of the intended run of 18 were ever built.

Now, 50 years on, the remaining 6 are on their way.

The spec will be exactly the same as the originals; aluminium block 3.8-litre straight six engine, lightweight aluminium body and 300 hp.

Just one downside, they'll cost around £1m each.

Here's a video to tide you over while you wait...

After Pebble Beach, 'Car Zero' will be given to the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust.

Pretty good innit?

RE: RETURN OF THE E-TYPE
Why did they not complete remaining six at the initial time of production, do you know? Or was it a fantastically forward thinking marketing strategy to release them fifty years later for an enormous price tag. Absolutely genius if that was the case.
