REPORTS SAY AI WILL ELIMINATE 6% OF JOBS IN FIVE YEARS

Reports have predicted that by 2021 robots will have eliminated many jobs in customer service, trucking a taxi services which amounts to 6% of jobs.



The Vice President at Forrester Tech Brian Hopkins said "By 2021, a disruptive tidal wave will begin," "solutions powered by AI/cognitive technology will displace jobs, with the biggest impact felt in transportation, logistics, customer service, and consumer services."

Intelligent agents, chat bots and digital assistants include Amazon's Alexa, Apple's Siri and Facebook's Messenger bots. They are all powered by AI and they can already understand a person's behavior and even make decisions for them. If that's happening now, image how it will be in five years?!?
AI-based services will eventually change most industries, resulting in a redistribution of jobs. We already have self-driving cars, which will have a huge impact on transportation industries.



Facebook and Google have already hired top technology experts to build massive bodies of data to train algorithms that will power all kinds of new services. Facebook and Google are also in the process of creating a set of AI and cognitive services. By 2021, other companies will use these tools to scale their business and steal customers from competitors.


The robots of 2021 will be much better at understanding human language, and will be able to handle more complex scenarios. Yikes! It looks like Ex Machina isn't too far off!
