  Zack Snyder is the director of this epic sci-fi fantasy. Having read the synopsis, it sounds like it's a cross between the Magnificent Seven and Star Wars, which is slightly ironic given that Lucas was inspired by Kurosawa. The cast is lead by Sofia Boutella with Charlie Hunnam, Ed Skrein, Djimon Honsou in supporting roles. This is a two part film, with the second one being released next year.

  Hopefully this is good hearing big things about it and hoping it not just hype. The name sounds cool and looks like a good cast. Zack Snyder is made some good movies and created the modern DC universe and this going on netflix so should be good looking forward to giving this a look when it comes out and hopefully the first part is good if there going to be a two parter.  Looking at this trailer looks pretty action packed and lots going on I think it will be good.

  There were a lot of scenes in that trailer that seem to be inspired by Dune 2021 + lots of Star Wars vibes. Seems like a very trendy movie.
  
  I just care about one thing though, there has to be at least one Snyder zoom.

  He gets a lot of stick but I actually like Snyder as a director, my only issues are with him as a writer. My favourite Snyder film is still his debut that was written by James Gunn, which is the Dawn of the Dead remake. So onto my feelings about Rebel Moon, and due to me taking so long to write anything about it, probably highlights my feelings. It was underwhelming, despite by love of the cast, director and the things it's blatantly paying homage to. The first act is fine and sets up the world and introduces the characters, Then the second act just keeps introducing a lot of new characters, and the third act kinda ends but also undermines the third act by setting up the second film and lacking any dramatic and emotional weight. It feels clunky, overly stretched out and pieced together, but Boutella is great in the lead role and it has Snyder's trademark visual flair.

  The Pitch Meeting for Rebel Moon is in. Even though I a bit of a Snyder fan I can’t bring myself to watch it knowing full well that there is going to be an R18 cut of the same film out next year which no doubt will tell a much more interesting story. The reviews I’ve seen for Rebel Moon so far have been far from good so going to stick to my guns and wait for next year.

  This is the first trailer for the second part of the most underwhelming and least enjoyable film that I've watched in recent memory. The cast, director and the films it pays homage to deserved better that what was created in part one.

  OK so now I'm going to give the people what they've always wanted from me on here and that is to rip something to shreds. This film and it's predecessor are abysmal and has barely any redeeming qualities in terms of writing, acting, score, production design, cinematography, costume design, editing and directing. I wasted four and a half hours watching this mess. And to top it off, the ending has a cliffhanger teasing a third part to this abomination of films. Hopefully this will be the end of the SnyderCult, once and for all.
