  Not sure it was meant to make things easier. I think the idea is that it would make it too difficult for random 'one word' posters to gain points and so make them give up. In the main I think it has been pretty successful. It was inevitable however that getting rid of one evil would spawn another. I guess the important question is which is the lesser of two evils?

  
  there's no reason we need to choose between the two, all it will take is a slightly more aggressive attitude from mods/admins towards it in regards to giving people warnings, repeat offenders getting banned and pointless threads getting deleted instead of them just being left up

  there is, it's called me. but unfortunately all i can do is post to tell them that they shouldn't have created another thread lol
  
  it would be awesome if their was but there's no way of doing it, as the only way it could possibly tell is if the new thread was named exactly the same as a existing thread so all anyone would need to do to get round it is change one letter and it wouldn't be able to recognise it as a duplicate thread

  The problem with any system that provides rewards and benefits for certain activities will always be how to police it. People will always try and find ways of abusing it, but I agree that a more aggressive stance towards it would definitely be a step in the right direction. Its just a matter of making it public knowledge not do it and the threat large enough to put them off, perhaps a two week ip ban or something.

  I am not sure you can do a limited time ip ban but people can still get round that by using a proxy server

  I have just come across something else to rant over people who right everything in capitals on the chatbox . I wonder if they know its like being in a room with someone and shouting at them

  exactly, the only thing that can be done is banning members and keeping an eye out for nuisance members, also as mentioned it would be great if when you signed up you were redirected to a rules page, that way people wouldn't have the excuse of "i didn't know" as if they didn't read the rules that's their fault.
  
  i agree about the all caps, another thing i've found people do on these forums is for some reason they put random words in a sentence in caps, which is the equivalent of talking to someone and randomly shouting words

  Ok time for another rant i just hate babes who just sit there wiggling the phone trying to get people to call in its seems like a lazy way rathere than use the mic to read message and interact with audience

  i actualy created a thread about that very thing not too long ago, about how i didn't see the point in the chat box as the girls hardly ever seemed to read out messages compaired to what they used to, and i said how if they're on a call or something then obviously that's fair enough but i didn't see why they wouldn't read out messages when they're just say there trying to get people to call in, especially when they're doing that and there's questions posed to them in the chatbox and they ignore it and just keep on shaking the phone

  I know its hardly the most egregious offense in the world, but 'fiddly mic' babes I do not like...some basis mic turning on/off training should be provided prior to going on air. I'd happily run the training programme.
