i think bane looks badass in the dark knight rises, and he just looked comical in batman and robin, i suppose maybe somewhere between the two looks might be ok, but i think they'd need to stay towards the nolan look to avoid anyone bursting out laughing when they saw him

true the mask was a little closer in that it looked more like a luchador wrestler mask but i really like the new style one. i think my problem with clooney is that he fits the role of bruce wayne perfectly, i would say actually better than anyone else who's played him as you can really imagine him as a billionaire playboy without any doubt but i'm just not sure i could ever see him as batman, he just doesn't seem like he could ever be menacing or scary enough, even if the role was written that way i could never see george clooney like that. i think the closest he's got to that in a role was in dusk till dawn but i think he's done so many other films since then that have not in the slightest been that way that i wouldn't be able to believe in him as batman

I think clooney could of pulled off the darker batman side of the character aswell he is a decent actor and one of the only actors whose career actually survived after batman and robin, he just never got a chance to show it either way really due to how camp the tone of batman and robin was.

i think the only way i could accept clooney as a decent batman is if he really bulked up like christian bale did. then i might be able to see him being batman, but it would take a lot to get over that nice guy image clooney has. but as i said clooney is possibly the perfect actor for bruce wayne

And the Bane mask, i think would of looked silly having the black and white wrestling mask for the new films, would of taken away from the overall domination Bane will have over Gotham and Batman. Similarly with The Joker, if they would of dressed him the same way as Nicholson's joker or had added facial putty to extend features, it would of looked out of place and kinda silly. Striking the right balance is crucial in keeping the realism (well as much as physically possible with a superhero film) and the connection between the comic books.
