I don't think just having a break will suffice, as it's not just the home leagues and cups but the Euro competitions as well.
They would have to start the season earlier that year which may mean a bit of a change in the previous season to accommodate this and run on as well. That's if they want to try and do it sensibly, however holding the proverbial piss up in a brewery comes to mind, so I dare say there will be loads of unhappy clubs at that time...
The FA could of course say to the clubs, just get on with the season without your players???? That would make it interesting.. Do you watch your local footie team or tune in to the World Cup... Since Wales are unlikely to be there either way, it doesn't really concern me :P
