its a money grab nothing more. bf3 installed with about 16 gigs over half of that was locked dlc. so basically you payed for half a game at launch...
half a dozen maps with half a dozen game modes just doesnt cut it for me. also when i finally did unlock the dlc i find its just 2 game modes on maps i already had... NOT COOL!. (bfbc2)
i much prefer to get what i pay for such as cod 4. 8 gigs, 16 maps half a dozen game modes, user generated content and mods. all of which was free after the initial purchase, but activision have now stopped this also...
now we have e.a releasing half finished games and expecting the user to beta test for them. then have the cheek to release 1 dlc charge a 10er for it only to turn around 6 weeks later to release premium, while telling you, yopu must buy dlc you already own already again...
for me back to karkand was the final straw. after it came out and they refused to drop the price of premium for them that already bought it (not the 1s who got it free with pre order) even though they said there would be an option of reduced pricing. i just rage quit and thats not me...
they consistently mugged off there console owners and because the console owners were quite happy to be mugged, (remember xbox360 fale rates. thats where it started) e.a and others are now there trying the same with pc owners.
iv'e been a gamer for over 30 years and the current state of play with e.a and activision leaves me in disrepair.
