We've missed you, chaps...
Newcastle v Liverpool 12:45
Liverpool won this fixture 6-0 last season, and with Suarez and Sturridge firing, and Coloccini still missing for the Magpies, they’ll fancy their chances tomorrow as well. Steven Taylor is also doubtful so Alan Pardew could start Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa and Mike Williamson at centre half…
For the Reds, Iago Aspas is out until December and Coutinho is still sidelined too. Glen Johnson and Joe Allen have returned to training though and could feature.
Arsenal v Norwich
With Bacary Sagna and Santi Cazorla returning to fitness, the Gunners’ injury worries are easing. Mesut Ozil picked up a knee injury playing for Germany in midweek, but he’s available to start too.
Norwich will go in to this one sat in the bottom three, and in all likelihood that’s where they’ll be come the end of it. Anthony Pilkington is out but Chris Hughton has no other major injury concerns.
Chelsea v Cardiff
Malky Mackay would surely have preferred to prepare for this fixture in peace but his, and Cardiff’s, international break were dominated by off-the-field instability and questions over the manager’s future. Most people wouldn’t begrudge the Bluebirds a heroic defeat in this one, but is Vincent Tan among them? Andreas Cornelius is still out but the squad is otherwise fully fit.
Ashley Cole and Andre Schurrle are missing for the home side but Fernando Torres returns from a knee injury/suspension.
Everton v Hull
Both sides have enjoyed encouraging starts to the season and just one point and one place separates them in the top half. The home side are without Darron Gibson afer he ruptured his cruciate playing for Ireland earlier this week. Steven Pienaar and Antolin Alcaraz are still out too, but Gareth Barry is available again after being ineligible against Man City.
Hull welcome back top scorer Robbie Brady but James Chester and Robert Koren are still out.
Man Utd v Southampton
Of these two, Southampton have looked far more like the reigning champions so far this season, and will go to Old Trafford with a real belief that they can get a result. A win could send them top, and even if the home side do prevail, they’ll still be behind Mauricio Pochettino’s team in the league table. Tom Cleverley is a doubt for United, but the Saints have a fully-fit squad.
Stoke v West Brom
Lose this, and Mark Hughes could start to find himself under a bit of pressure. Stoke’s encouraging start has given way to a disappointing sequence of results, and say what you want about Tony Pulis, he generally won these types of games. Geoff Cameron is a doubt after picking up an injury on international duty, but Jonathan Walters should be fit.
Ben Foster and Scott Sinclair are still missing for West Brom, but their attacking options have been bolstered by the return of Victor Anichebe, Matej Vydra, Shane Long and Zoltan Gera as they look to build on impressive performances against Man Utd and Arsenal in their previous two games.
Swansea v Sunderland
It’s another new era for Sunderland, with Gus Poyet the man to pick up the pieces left by Paolo Di Canio. He’ll benefit from having Steven Fletcher back fit, and Keiren Westwood, Phil Bardsley and Wes Brown could be fit too. But who knows who he’ll go with out of that squad. The old faces have hardly covered themselves in glory over the past few seasons, but how many of the new boys are good enough?
Michael Laudrup could do with a win as well, and he’ll be boosted by the return of Pablo Hernandez and Jonathan de Guzman. Michael Vorm should be fit also, but Ben Davies is a doubt, and Ashley Williams is still out.
West Ham v Man City
Might have to be the ol’ 4-6-0 again for West Ham. Carlton Cole re-signed for them during the international break but isn’t yet match fit, while Andy Carroll is still well away from a return date (obviously). James Collins is out too after injuring his hamstring playing for Wales.
Vincent Kompany is still missing for City, and Martin Demichelis isn’t fit enough to replace him yet.
