And betting tips...
Aston Villa v Fulham
Benteke’s out for 6 months and Villa are wildly inconsistent at the best of times. They’re also safe(ish) so a Fulham side with far more to play for could get something here. Have a look at the score draw at 10/3 or 3.5+ goals at 19/10. The scorers are a difficult pick so you may as well branch out with Delph 9/2 any time.
Prediction: 2-2 (12/1)
Cardiff v Crystal Palace
Cardiff are scoring and conceding loads at the moment, while Palace are the exact opposite. Something’s got to give and I reckon this one will be conducted on Tony Pulis’s terms. 2/1 for the away clean sheet looks decent, as does under 1.5 match goals at 13/8. 2/1 on the away win outright has got to be the pick of the bunch though. If they can beat Chelsea…
Prediction: 0-1 (7/1)
Hull v Swansea
The Tigers have lost their last two matches but both were away from home. At the KC though, particularly against teams in and around them, their form remains solid and 13/8 for the home win looks generous. It’s pretty straightforward in the scorers, Jelavic (2/1) or Long (5/2) any time, and Bony for the visitors at 21/10. I’m tempted to stick a quid on all three.
Prediction: 2-1 (10/1)
Newcastle v Man Utd
Both of these sides have been absolute bitches to bet on this season, but after witnessing Newcastle’s ‘performance’ against Southampton last weekend I’m getting firmly behind the United win at 19/20. Wouldn’t be surprised if it were a big one either, 14/5 on 3+ goals for the away side looks a goer. They will have an eye on next week’s Champions League game though, and with that in mind Welbeck and Hernandez (both 13/8) might be a better shout in the any times than Rooney at 21/20.
Prediction: 0-3 (16/1)
Norwich v West Brom
Can you honestly see either side doing enough to win this? It’ll be a draw (12/5), maybe even a score draw (19/5)!
Prediction: 1-1 (6/1)
