SATURDAY
Aston Villa v Sunderland
Not sure about this one. Villa have been too unpredictable this season to want to back them at 10/11. Sunderland at 3/1 is more appealing but how likely? They have improved under Poyet so the draw at 12/5 might be worth a look. Or how about Sunderland DNB 19/10? Think I’ll leave this one, mind. Benteke to score first though, obviously, at 7/2.
Prediction: 1-1 (6/1)
Cardiff v Arsenal
Cardiff have taken four points off the Manchesters at home already this season, but it’s difficult to see them getting much out of Arsenal at the moment. Not much value to be had in the home win (9/2) or the away (4/7), but the draw is 3/1 if you’re feeling dangerous. Personally I like the look of BTTS and Arsenal to win at 9/4. Ramsey again, he’s 7/1 to score first against his old club, and how about Wilshere to score at any time at 6/1? He got a couple midweek…
Prediction: 1-2 (15/2)
Everton v Stoke
They might have beat Sunderland last week but I can’t see Stoke getting anything from this one. Leave 8/13 for the home win but Everton with -1 on the Asian handicap (2.01) looks a goer. Lukaku to score and Everton win seems likely but could do with being a touch longer than 6/4, the Belgian to score first at 7/2 is probably the better bet.
Prediction: 2-0 (6/1)
Norwich v Crystal Palace
They might have beat West Ham a couple of weeks back, and yes they’re at home to Palace, but Norwich shouldn’t be odds on (10/11) for anything right now. The away side and draw double chance at 1.91 looks good to me. Neither side are scoring much either so under 1.5 match goals at 9/4 might be worth a look too.
Prediction: 0-0 (9/1)
West Ham v Fulham
Pressure, pressure… Neither side can afford to lose here given their current form, so how about the draw at 12/5? Or a score draw at 13/4? Not likely to be many goals though, not from the Hammers anyway, so less than 1.5 match goals at 1/10 might be worth a look too.
Prediction: 1-1 (6/1)
Newcastle v West Brom 17:30
3 wins on the bounce now for the Geordies and they’re evens for the win. Seems fair but they’re massively unpredictable, so go careful. Got to be Remy for the first goal, 9/2 for that. Maybe Shane Long at 7/1 though? He’s finding a bit of form. Newcastle to win and BTTS at 3/1 looks good to me.
Prediction: 3-1 (16/1)
SUNDAY
Tottenham v Man Utd 12:00
AVB could certainly do with a win right now, but after United put 5 past Leverkusen midweek it might not be the best time to play them. They’re always liable to slip up though and David Moyes could do with the 3 points too after the Cardiff draw last Sunday. It’s gonna be tight. Rooney to score and United to win at 4/1 looks decent, as does under 1.5 goals at 23/10. Tough one to call this…
Prediction: 0-1 (8/1)
Hull v Liverpool 14:05
On the one hand I can see Liverpool taking Hull apart here, but the home side don’t let many in at the KC. Liking the look of Liverpool at 2.00 with -1 on the Asian handicap, and if we’re talking first scorers it has to be Suarez at 7/2. If you fancy the away side to run wild then they’re 6/1 to score 4+ goals.
Prediction: 0-3 (11/1)
Chelsea v Southampton 16:10
Southampton got a draw in this fixture last season and given Chelsea’s form at the moment I can see them doing it again. That’s 3/1, and Southampton with a +1 handicap at 1.86 looks decent too. Adam Lallana’s playing well at the moment and might be worth a punt to score any time at 5/1.
Prediction: 2-2 (16/1)
Man City v Swansea 16:10
Are City going to score loads again? 4+ goals for them comes in at 13/5 and is more than likely. No point betting on the home win at 1/4 but if you couple that with BTTS (and City’s defence is still looking dodgy) you can get 2/1, which seems much nicer. I’ll have some of that.
Prediction: 4-1 (18/1)
Accumulator: £5 on wins for Arsenal, Everton, Newcastle, Liverpool and Man City could return over £52!
