  I have just watched Power Rangers(2017), and I must admit that I thoroughly enjoyed it.
  
  I like the new look for Rita Repulsa, and the fact that she was a ranger herself.
  
  I appreciate the less irritating depiction of Alpha 5, and that Zordon is not a weakling.
  
  I also liked the updated armour/suit's for the ranger's, and the Zords.
  
  Jason David-Frank(Tommy) appear's at the very end for a very brief time.
  
  And it is going to span a six part movie arc.

  thats good to hear because i must of seen about 10 trailers by now and it looks like it should be good, im gona watch it today or tomorrow and ill let u know what i think of it

  I'm guessing Rita Repulsa must have been the Green Ranger then??
  
  I dunno, I liked the original Alpha, he had more character to him
  
  Zordon as Red Ranger, that seems to have been a new addition, don't recall that being mentioned in the original series
  
  Jason David Frank(Tommy), & Amy-Jo Johnson(Kimberley) cameo'd I believe

  You are correct Outlaw1987, Rita is/was the green ranger, and Alpha, even though less irritating, he does lack character.
  
  I must have missed Amy Jo Johnson.

  Each to their own it is then, madpolac683. Don't get me wrong, given how the trailers were painting the film up, was hoping for so much more than what was actually delivered. Humour fell flat, wooden performances, found alpha to be just a different kind of irritating with a very underwhelming, contained, blink and you'd miss it inevitable final fight. Didn't hate hate the film but will never feel the need to watch it again.

  This movie i thought was enjoyable, and it touched on the nostalgia just right, i knew going into it, it wasnt gonna be anything like the original tv series i watched when i was a kid.
  
  It was a giant commercial for Krispy Kreme doughnuts though, like how many times was that actually said in that movie,
  
  but i think they had done well to get a little bit about all of the five power rangers backstory in this movie, how they did Zordon and Alpha 5 though i wasnt impressed lol

  Im with you on Zordon and Alpha 5 ..its saying something when a kids tv show from the 90s knocked out a better interpretation of those characters compared to the annoying voiced, whiney interpretations in the multi million pound spin off. Wonder how much Kispy Kreme had to pay to have their brand featured that heavily in the film. Can think of a few other brands or establishments the=at would of been a better fit in my opinion..ok, yeah, their all of a less conventional sort lol. How many times was the brand mentioned..almost as many times as 'Cocks' were mentioned during that conversation between Bronn and Jaime at the start of the GoT seakson 7 finale lol.

  only just saw this last night, i thought it started off really good and the story was good to, but when they got to the part where they put all there vehicles together to make that one big transformer, and the power rangers music came on, boy did that ruin it for me and after that it went down hill for me but overall it was ok

  I got a bit bored once they were all struggling to morph, that bit took far too long and while the opening of the movie was good it felt very stolen from Chronicle which is no surprise as the first writer on the project was the writer of Chronicle.
  
  I would have happily watched a 2nd instalment but last I hear they reception to the 1st movie was not strong enough so they cancelled the remain films.

  Where as I initially enjoyed this movie, I totally agree with you guy's. It is quite boring at times, and the Megazord scene(which dony mentioned) is quite lame. I still enjoy the movie................just not as much.
