SATURDAY
Hull v Crystal Palace
Palace are unbeaten in four and have won their last two in the league. Despite the KC being a 'difficult place to go' I reckon they'll get a point here, and the draw's 12/5. In contrast to last season both teams are scoring for fun at the minute so 3.5+ looks a great shout at 11/4. And Jelavic is yer man in the anytimes, decent value at 7/4.
Prediction: 2-2 (16/1)
Leicester v Burnley
Given these sides respective starts you really can't argue with the Leicester win at 4/5, and seeing as Burnley haven't scored in over a month you may as well bolt a 'to nil' on there while you're at it and have a 9/5-shot instead. If we're talking scorers it's clearly got to be Ulloa, and he's 9/2 to get the first.
Prediction: 1-0 (6/1)
Liverpool v West Brom
Last season I'd probably have made a comment about how this used to be the sort of game Liverpool would end up drawing, marvel at how much things had changed, then back them to win by 4 or 5. Didn't take long for normal service to resume, did it? The draw's 19/5, and have a think about under 2.5 goals at 5/4 while you're at it.
Prediction: 1-1 (9/1)
Sunderland v Stoke
Seeing as how Sunderland have drawn 5 of their 6 league games so far, I'm not overly sure why I'm backing a home win at 6/4 rather than the 9/4 stalemate. They've got to do it at some point though, and Stoke on your own patch seems as good an opportunity as any. Probably not gonna be a classic, mind, and under 1.5 looks a shout at 13/8.
Prediction: 1-0 (6/1)
Swansea v Newcastle
Home win's 5/6, really ought to be far more odds-on than that. Newcastle not scoring is pretty much a given so 2/1 on Swansea to nil should be safe enough, as should the -1 handicap, slightly longer at 9/4. One more peach to wrap things up, Sigurdsson 15/8 any time. There's money in this one.
Prediction: 2-0 (8/1)
Aston Villa v Man City 17:30
Remember when Villa's defence was looking solid? It'd normally be a touch unfair to bring it up, seeing as how those six goals were conceded against Chelsea and Arsenal, but with City up next it's kind of relevant. Away win, -2 handicap, 10/3. All day long. Aguero's
back, and 7/2 to get 2 or more.
Prediction: 1-4 (22/1)
SUNDAY
Man Utd v Everton 12:00
The defences on em! Unfortunately for Everton, United look far more capable of exploiting. 4/6 outright on the home win has got acca written all over it, and the -1 handicap is worth a go on its own at 8/5. Di Maria's not
the most likely scorer, but 2/1 on him any time seems way more reasonable than van Persie or Falcao at 8/11.
Prediction: 3-1 (12/1)
Chelsea v Arsenal 14:05
Got a feeling Arsenal aren't going to embarrass themselves here. Chelsea for the win obviously, but something respectable, the odd goal. And if you turn to page 9 of your scripts you'll see that the winner will be scored by Cesc Fabregas, who just so happens to be 7/1 to score last.
Prediction: 2-1 (15/2)
Tottenham v Southampton 14:05
So the Saints are 12/5 for the win here, and a lot of people seem to be quite excited about that, like it's free money or something. But even though Spurs are struggling, and coming off the back of a midweek Europa fixture, they are at home and should be good for a point. The draw's also 12/5 so do that. Can't decide whether it'll be tight or a high scorer but Graziano Pelle's far and away the most likely to register. Get on him at 2/1 in the anytimes or 6/1 for the opener.
Prediction: 1-1 (6/1)
West Ham v QPR 16:15
It's not that West Ham are good or anything, more that QPR are quite shocking, particularly on the road. Not going to push my luck though, 10/11 on the home win outright and let's leave it there. Although, that Diafra Sakho looks a player. He's 11/8 any time or 9/2 to score first.
Prediction: 2-1 (8/1)
ACCA: £5 on wins for Leicester, Swansea, Man Utd, Chelsea and West Ham returns £87.50.
