SATURDAY
Man City v Tottenham 12:45
It's possibly a bit harsh to lump Pochettino in with AVB, Sherwood and their awful record against the top 4 last year, but when all you've got to go on for this season is a 3-0 defeat at home to Liverpool... City, comfortably. The -1 looks decent value at 23/20 and the -2 wouldn't be ridiculous either, 3/1 there. 6/4 on them winning to nil is the one though. Nothing too spectacular happening in the scorers. Maybe Lampard any time, but it probably wants to be a bit longer than 2/1.
Prediction: 3-0 (10/1)
Arsenal v Hull
The Gunners love a draw lately, and they're actually only one point above Hull in the table. Not saying the Tigers are definitely going to come away with something, but the stalemate's 7/2 and probably more likely than Arsenal -2 at 11/4. Just take 7/2 on Welbeck scoring first and have done with it.
Prediction: 2-1 (8/1)
Burnley v West Ham
So the Hammers are sort of looking decent then. A draw's not beyond Burnley (9/4) but the away win at 13/8 is probably more realistic. Can't see there being many goals though and under 1.5 is just about worth a go at 9/4. Sakho's 2/1 any time, get involved.
Prediction: 0-1 (7/2)
Crystal Palace v Chelsea
23/20 on Chelsea with the -1 seems fairly generous, but I wouldn't go any further than that. Palace'll keep it fairly tight and give them a game so under 2.5 at EVS is a decent shout too. Costa in the scorers obviously (providing he starts) and he's 3/1 for the first or 7/2 to get 2 or more.
Prediction: 0-2 (6/1)
Everton v Aston Villa
Neither side looks much like winning at the moment, but you'd fancy Everton to score more than they'll concede here. The handicaps should probably be given a wide birth though, and no-one's getting rich on 4/7 for the home win outright. Lukaku's due a goal so maybe him to score first at 7/2? It's the best i've got.
Prediction: 2-1 (15/2)
Newcastle v Leicester
If only for the fact this is the sort of game Alan Pardew
really has to be winning, 6/5 on Newcastle outright seems ok. Don't let it stink out you're acca, mind. Just a couple of quid in isolation. You're probably on safer ground with Cisse to score any time though. He's 7/4, and Ulloa's a similar price at 15/8. Both maybe?
Prediction: 2-1 (8/1)
Southampton v Sunderland
The Saints really don't have the best of records against Gus Poyet's side, and while current form
should see them through, 8/13 on the home win isn't really doing it for me. To nil on the other hand, 11/8 and Pelle's EVS to score any time. Them's the ones.
Prediction: 2-0 (13/2)
SUNDAY
QPR v Liverpool 13:30
It's not often you see a home side 5/1 for the win. Yes QPR have been pretty terrible so far, but have Liverpool been
that much better? If you can picture Honest 'Arry resurrected (a few one-liners for the boys) in the post-match presser, stick a quid on it.
Prediction: 1-0 (18/1)
Stoke v Swansea 16:00
Draw, Crouchy might score (15/8 any time).
Prediction: 1-1 (11/2)
MONDAY
West Brom v Man Utd 20:00
The Baggies' form has picked up of late. The same could be said of United too of course, but van Gaal's side aren't so entrenched that you should turn your nose up at 14/5 for the draw. West Brom love a draw, and it certainly seems better value than 8/11 for the away win. Have a think, but Berahino 5/2 any time is a given.
Prediction: 1-2 (15/2)
