So its a true story, loads of facts a decent writer could get into, but whoever did the screen play for this needs shooting!
A real story fucked up by an East Enders script writer!
Y'know when they have free form to make up a story around facts but dont really know what the baddies were up to, or the goodies for that matter! well 'Patriots Day' is the result!

looks like it will be a good movie and its a plus that its based on a true story is always a good thing, and i dont mind mark mahlberg as a actor either, was really good in lone survivor

I dont mind Wahlberg either m8, but DONT spend any money on 'Patriots Day' if you can get a blag copy off someone yeah watch it, otherwise wait for it to come on telly.

yeah i paid for it. i do not mind mark wahlerg but i do not think he has enough on screen personality to carry a film without some kind of buddy. gotta say though he seems to be doing a lot of real life stuff lately.
that said the film is not too bad. they take some liberties with the facts. like mark wahlbergs character is involved way too much but they have amalgamated several police officers roles into one but that is just for convenience. while it is not especially good. i thought the shoot out scene ( i hope this is not a plot spoiler. i remember the events which were widely reported daily so none of it was new to me ) was particularly good. making it seem close and instead of the usual 'shoot'em up' genuinely scary. but again that said. there was a point where the 2 baddies were under machine gun fire and calmly chatting away behind cover. but not a bad film overall. there is plenty worse out there.
