  I think Wolf of Wall Street is up there with the best Scorsese has ever done. It's crazy how fast paced and 'young' it feels when you consider it was made by a filmmaker who has been around for decades. It's also one of the funniest films I've seen in a long time.

  I think it's a quality film even if the main character is really unlikeable, but I don't think it's close to his classics. Did anyone else feel like jonah hill was trying too hard in this film.

  I don't know if hill was trying too hard, but he could tell he was constantly thinking "I'm in a fucking scorsese film!", which i;m fine with as i'd probably be thinking the same. Did anyone hear that Hill got paid scale to be in this film (which would work out at like under $30, 000). Pretty crazy. He spoke about it on Howard Stern, and basically said that he'd have paid to be in a scorsese film- again, fair enough.

  I just meant the whole time he was on screen I felt I was watching jonah hill putting on a voice and mannerisms, compared to christian Bale in American hustle where i just enjoyed the film and didn't think about it. Stern has some quality interviews on youtube.

  Despite all the hype surrounding the film i decided to wait until it appeared on the regular movie channels on sky. What was i thinking. What an awesome film. The performances were so strong that despite the running time, it didnt feel anywhere near that. Awesome job.
