  There's some amazing trailers being released at the moment, I'm practically spoilt for choice. Tom Ford's latest thriller, Nocturnal Animals looks intense but bloody confusing.
  
  The film is "a story within a story" in which the first part follows Susan who receives a manuscript dedicated to her from her ex-husband who she left 20 years ago. The second part follows the actual manuscript, called "Nocturnal Animals," which tells the story of a man whose family holiday turns violent. It also continues to follow Susan who upon reading the story, finds herself thinking about her ex and confronting some dark truths about herself.
  
  
  
  Did you get all that? I told you it was confusing! Don't let that put you off though. It has an awesome cast including Amy Adams, Jake Gyllenhaal, Michael Shannon, Aaron Taylor-Johnson so it looks like it could be one hell of a good watch.

  Hav gotta admit, ReedeFox, on first hearing about the film, it was one that i was just happy to let sit on the back boiler with maybe, one day, getting around to. The other day i managad to get hold of the film and taught me a lesson about being so instantly dismissive about a film as the film was excellent, bloody confusing, but excellent. Have gotta ask, has anyone seen this and if you have, were you able to make complete heads or tails of it. Fantastic performances (Shannon for one has never been better), a compelling story, especialy in the segments following the book, a masterful script and direction. Despite all this though the film was, at its conclusion, one for discussion as my family and i were trying to piece everything together. Was it that the novel, given how events actually played out betwwn Adams and Gylenhall, was in a way drawing similarities between events during the course and following their relationship? Prepare to be a little baffled by this film but dont let that facct put you off, the ride is a well constructed, nail biting one.

  i never heard of this movie before i saw before here, trailer was good but didnt look like anything to special, i wont go out my way to watch it but if im looking for something to watch and i see it i will watch it

  Believe me, Dony my friend, on first glancing the trailer i was happy for this to pass me by. Boy, am i now glad i changed my mind about that. Ok, the AmyAdams driven wrap around story of sorts, while entertaining enough, does take a bac seat to the tour de force that is the played out novel she is reading. To say it is played out with brutal, character driven efficiency is an understatement. Ok, the whole thing doesnt always make sense and the end of the movie may, much like mmyself, leave you with more questions than awnsers..think of this as a noir inspired thriller with elements of David Lynch stylings and you get the idea. Not one for casual viewing though, you really have to pay attention to proceedings.

  hmmm its one of those ones then i see, i had a couple of those and the main one was west world, hated that at first i didnt understand why my friends keep telling me to watch, but i kept watching and now im glad i did, because i like westworld now, so maybe i try it out see how it goes, and oh yeah, HAPPY NEW YEAR to u wankers : )

  And a happy new year to you as well, Dony. Hope you had a good one. Woud certainly be a boring old world if we all liked the same things, wouldnt it? That said, while i appreciate that you enjoyed the Westworld tv series and, while i could hav perhaps given it more of a chance, 4 or 5 episodes in, i was done. Couldnt stomach anymore..i was bored, bored, BORED.
