  This game looks to be absolutely amazing. It will be a procedurally generated open universe in which players have their own spaceship and they can explore and do upgrades. It should be released sometime this year.
  
  In the game, you take the role of a planetary explorer with a spacecraft and you can explore numerous planets. You can also interact with the various flora and fauna. Combat will happen too with hostile forces in space and on the planets. There is said to be planetary exploration, deep oceans, space-based battles, resource gathering and potential predators in the various worlds. There is a goal however which is to reach the center of the galaxy done by having resources. There will be a trade system to buy and sell resources. You can manage your own trade route too.
  
  Now we come to the numbers which is the most astounding part of this game. In total there will be 18 quintillion planets in the whole galaxy a number the human brain can't comprehend. It's said that visiting all these planets will take 585 billion years. This is 42 times the age of the Universe. Quintillion is used for say how many grains of sand there are on a beach. The Earth is said to be wiped out by the Sun in 4.6 billion years so no-one will ever be able to go to every planet.
  
  A very interesting game then.

  People had worries that pretty early in we'd see recurring traits on animals and landscape as well as the faults of procedurally generated worlds. Much of them cited the procedurally generated aspects of spore as a reason to be hesitant. I'm still really excited but that kind off put me off a bit because I agree that it's hard to believe they can create enough variables to make the game last and I think there is huge potential for monotony.
  The game is for so long in development and they still didn't set any release date - 2015 was switched to late 2015 and now 2016.
  I think that they have started to early with game promotion. I'm kinda losing interest for buying it at the premier.

  Hopefully they focus more on the actual gameplay than just having a large amount of planets

  It wouldn't really matter about the Earth being wiped out in 4.6 billion years time coz said traveller wouldn't be on Earth he'd be off traveling round the Universe in Fire Ball XL5. I be more worried about that library book late fine id have, and my impending incontinence on 585 billionth birthday!
