  Previously referred to as the Nintendo NX, the new Nintendo handheld gaming console has been revealed, & it's called the Nintendo Switch
  
  
  With only five months to go before it launches a new console in March 2017, Nintendo today finally started to share details about the highly anticipated system. Nintendo published a three-minute video that offered an overview of what people can expect from the platform, which will be called Nintendo Switch. As rumored, it is a console/handheld hybrid that uses cartridges.

  i saw this nintendo switch in game, honestly looks pretty good and im thinking of getting it, and i havent had a nintendo since the nintendo 64 the goat, i just hope it has a good lineup of games, hopefully diddy kong racing

  I watch the video for this and had some mixed feelings about it. I have heard lots of different opinions about the Switch and a lot of them i agree with. It looks like it has some features and the whole thing of you being able to take it pretty much anywhere is good but i do have some problems with it. The controllers seem to small for me and i feel like this would have been if this were the Wii U when that came out.

  that was my impression also that the controllers were just too small and not very ergonomic to be viable. Hopefully its a success though as i love Nintendo, they are definitely innovators in the field of console gaming. I myself wont be purchasing one however

  the controls to me dont seem to be to much of a problem. maybe the buttons are a little close together but not a deal breaker for me, but i dont like the look of the dpad as four separate buttons but we will see what its like when it comes out

  I dunno why but i like the idea, but like hell are we gonna see one of those out in the wild in public, although this just seems like a more expensive upgrade to the 3DS to me, and its gimmick stuff like this that stops certain third party developers creating for this system.

  Is it just me or does this just look like Nintendo have made another handheld they are trying to pass off as a console? None of the games they are using to advertise look all that much better than the Wii U games either. Weird how Nintendo have been developing this for a while and the best they could come up with is another slightly gimmicky console that looks like it will be a generation behind the competition.
  They did this with the Wii U and lost pretty much all support from other developers.

  The Nintendo XDS, which I saw articles about back in July, but it hasn't been confirmed to be real or fake, must say the Nintendo Switch does look pretty stupid, I mean, it's effectively just a stripped down Wii U controller

  I think this certainly looks a better product than the Wii U. The main reason I'm interested in Nintendo consoles is because of the first party games, which I think have been lacking in recent years. The Wii U is the only Nintendo console I didn't buy. If they release new F Zero, Waverace and Metroid games I may be interested.
  
  To be honest I prefer my tablet for mobile gaming, I don't like carrying too much stuff and the tablet has music, movies, ebooks, apps and internet also.
  
  OK, playing Mario Kart on that tablet sized controller whilst sitting on the shitter does seem tempting :)
