  Lionsgate, the production company behind the highly anticipated Power Rangers movie reboot have just released a bunch of character posters showing all five of the film’s leading Rangers.
  
  The posters are particularly notable for giving us our first glimpse at the film’s Zords and although they haven’t quite combined into a Megazord quite yet, they still look pretty badass!
  
  
  
  As you can see, the Zords are quite recognizable compared to the originals. Unlike the reboots version of Rita which is nothing like the old childhood classic. Still, at least the Ranger side of Power Rangers are staying close to the original show’s aesthetic a bit more.
  
  
  Power Rangers is due to release March 24th 2017 but there are rumors going around that we might get another sneaky glimpse at the film at New York Comic Con next month.

  The new suits are very Iron Man crossed with a Spartan from the Halo franchise, the zords do look beast, I wonder how close to the original megazord it'll actually be
  
  Next thing we need to see is how they've re-done the weapons/power blaster
  
  Elizabeth Banks playing Rita Repulsa will be very interesting
  
  Bryan Cranston taking up the role of Zordon

  The Elizabeth Banks/Rita Repulsa costume looks so wrong compared to the costume from the original series
  
  Looks more like a character from Mortal Kombat than she does the Power Rangers arch enemy

  Oh, I dont know, given THAT pic of Rita Repulsa..it does kinda speak to me lol (unlike the old Rita back in the day..yikes haha). Theres not a snowballs chance of me going to the cinema to see this but it will almost certainly be on my 'to do list' on home release. Do hope the action gets ramped up.

  Two things, oddly related.
  
  Is the Blue Ranger sending in photo for something like the female version of playboy?
  And is this really coming out as a kids movie?  That Elizabeth Banks outfit will scare the shit out of a lot of kids.  Nothing in that picture says kids movie, it says mean, scary, evil bitch who'd happily kill you, your family and your pets just for the fun of it.

  i never thought i would see the name power rangers again, i must of been like 8 years old last time i saw power rangers lol, but from the pics it looks like they have a transformer each might be good, i will watch it just for old times sake

  The Zords are looking very Pacific Rim, but since Pacific Rim was basically Del Toro's way of showing his love for the Japanese Kaiju movies and Power Rangers was always based on that same thing (only the power rangers tv show didn't have the special effects or budget of PR in the show).
  Weird design choice for Rita though, but it might be worth a watch for nostalgia to my youth lol. Plus it has Bryan Cranston which is always a good thing.
