Netflix have just pulled another winner out the bag with the announcement of their new TV series The Witcher and fans are losing their freaking minds!

The TV show will be adapated from The Witcher book, not the game, and Netflix's lead writer for the show, Lauren Hissrich just shared an exciting behind the scenes glimpse of what's to come.

Some of the people in the picture include Jessica Jones legend, Jenny Klein, Daredevil’s Sneha Koorse, Clare Higgins of The Worst Witch, and Declan de Barra who worked on The Originals. Not a bad team! The first season will adapt the first 2 books over eight episodes. Sadly, there's no casting list or release date yet but I'm sure it won't be long. It's pretty bloody exciting!

Gotta say im not familiar with the books nor the game/s (have heard of it/them but never played). Doing a quick bit of research though and it certainly sounds like an interesting premise. Gotta say though, the fact that the creative team consists of individuals behind 'Daredevil' and 'Jessica Jones' does nothing for me..didn't like either. Will keep half an eye out for this though (even though i suspect its quite a way off yet).
