  It's the news you've all been waiting for, details have finally reached us regarding the rebranding of the league pyramid north of the border.
  
  Before the big reveal, lets hear from Neil Doncaster, chief executive of the newly formed Scottish Professional Football League, "A mountain of work has been done over the summer to get to this point and I believe there is much more that can be done. The new league set-up reflects very much the recommendations Henry McLeish made in his report for the future of Scottish football."
  
  Stirring words. OK everyone, are you ready? Here goes...
  
  Tier 1: Scottish Premier League
  Tier 2: Scottish Championship
  Tier 3: Scottish League 1
  Tier 4: Scottish League 2
  
  Hmmm.
  
  Is it just me or does that sound vaguely familiar?

  Our leagues and clubs have been on a downhill slope for years, it doesn't really help that we're viewed as a Mickey Mouse league, but we just don't have as high standards on offer and can't attract the caliber of player we used to

  It's a shame. The days of Tore Andre Flo signing for Rangers seem a long, long time ago.
  
  Now you've got Gary Hooper considering a move to QPR, presumably thinking that Championship football would be a step up. I like how Celtic are going about things lately though. Good scouting, picking up bargains and turning a decent profit. Wanyama to Southampton for £12m being a prime example.

  I'm a proud Rangers fan, it's such a waste us being in the position we are just now but I can see Hearts heading down a much darker road very soon, I agree on how players use it as a stepping stone or a retirement home lol, the days of attracting players of the Van Bronckhort, Van Hooijdonk, Kanchelskis and players of that ilk are long gone, Rangers academy has turned out some decent talent lately tho, McKay, MacLeod, Cole, Little, Perry, Hegarty, Gasparotto, Hutton, Crawford, just hope we can keep hold of them, such a shame Kal Naismith jumped ship, what a prospect he was looking!!   Walter Smith has just resigned as chairman and Ally McCoist looks on shaky ground too. So it could be 2 legends on their way out for the sake of keeping Charles Green in his new 'consultant' role.

  Scottish football has been on a downhill slope for many years, just not attracting the same level of players and investment that we've had in the past, owners like Whyte and Romanov haven't exactly been helping matters either!!
  
  Why the hell we're bringing Charles Green back is beyond a joke, we need to take a long hard look at ourselves, I mean we already went out of the league cup which is a diddy cup yes, but still a good one to win!!

  Neil Doncaster is a fucking knob head
  and honestly the SPFL need to get a grip of there referees, not impressed about all the decisions going against the World Famous Dundee United (We Are Some Club) since that event at Inverness involving Nadir its a total joke that United are being singled out for an event that was caused because the ref wasnt doin his job properly and how do u justify some of the decisions since

  Why wouldn't they just make the leagues larger in terms of team numbers and lower the number of leagues? Would allow another 8 or so teams to be classed as playing in their respective top leagues which would surely increase revenue and promotion for said clubs?

  because it would not be financially viable as obviously TV dictates a lot of it as well and would would want to see teams who struggle in the new championship getting walloped from teams up near the top the difference in quality is too high and would leave a lot of club nothing to play for at all, the money distrubution has been changed to help the Championship teams
