  Yep, it's that time of year again, with the big announcement coming at 18:00 this evening. However, in a break from tradition, as well as unveiling their new flagship model (the 5S), Apple are also set to unveil a 'budget' model, the 5C.
  
  Anyone on here likely to be queuing overnight to get their hands on the latest model? And if so, what features are you hoping for?

  Interesting to hear about this budget model Apple are coming out with. That was surprising... If it has that finger recognition on the home button that would be cool... I think everyone is overlooking the new iOS 7 too... Might have to switch back from Android because it actually does look very nice

  I've left the comfort of iOS and moved to the s4 and I'm loving it dont get me wrong I'm still an apple guy I've a ipd4 mac book pro and the iPhone 4 the reason I left was due to the phone not really giving me what I wanted apart from jail breaking my device not a problem as I used to jailbreak mine but now cba the s4 brings so much to the table tour a fool not to switch

  Wasn't really that 'budget' in the end was it?
  
  You just get to look colourful and cheap for about the same price.

  I've just updated to ios 7 and it took a bloody long time. For the efforts I have received a couple of extra features which for now I can't see me using and some different icons for the pre-installed apps which looks like a throw back to some kind of Madmen feel. I thought from the video it was going to be so different when really it just feels like a new skin with some slicker movement.

  I tried the update. Took an age and stopped on 90%. Might have something to do with my fancy new rural 'broadband'.

  Just saw the keynotes for the iPhone 5C and 5S... Tbh I think the 5C looks absolutely dreadful and just lacquered plastic. But then again I heard the Apple presenters constantly talk about highest quality etc. I can imagine it appealing to hipsters and teens though if I'm honest.
  
  Was surprised to see a decent improvement in build and features of the 5S however, the camera hardware and software looks significantly better after brushing up on a few things. Looks very nice indeed. The whole interface looks much cleaner and more pleasant to look at. Was way too dull on previous iOS versions

  Here's a guide on how to update to iOS 7 early.
  
  I finally did it. Looks nice, mostly stylistic changes though, no major departures in terms of usability.
