I'm not much of gamer, but even I played
Crash Bandicoot as a kid. That game was hella addictive and a great way to pass the time. After the first three games were so successful, it seemed strange that the developer, Activision, just stopped releasing anymore titles.
The company didn't create anything even remotely related to
Crash Bandicoot for six years, and then suddenly out of nowhere re-released the game in June last year with updated graphics under the name of
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy. The game was a huge success, but it was only available on PS4. Fast forward to 2018 and it looks like there is a secret Crash title alleged to be in development that could launch on Windows PCs and the new Nintendo Switch. The source is the spring 2018 edition of a magazine called Licensing Source Book Europe, which quotes a manager at a licensed merchandise supplier called GB Eye. The manager is quoted as saying:
Quote:The new game N.Sane trilogy was a huge success at retail with no marketing spend. Next year it will be going broader (Switch and PC) and there will be a new game in 2019. Activision have a five-year plan for this, and GB eye is delighted to be fully on board for all products.
Pretty exciting stuff!
