A bit early for this since it's not out till 2017 but i think it looks interesting so thought i'd see if anyone else was.
Netflix are in development of another live action adaption of the anime Death Note, which is very good for those that haven't seen it. This is following i think two previous film series adaptions and a TV show in Japan, though this is the first english adaption.

A small bit of info on Willem Defoe's role in the film, good bit of casting too

Expected in 2017 directed by 'The Guest' 'You're Next' and 'Blair Witch' director Adam Wingard (two of those films give me hope it could be good, the one that doesn't is Blair Witch).

Ooh, now this actually sounds pretty tasty. Im not gonna pretend to know anything about 'Death Note' other than the synopsis (the original anime that is). However, the concept, made into a live action movie and directed by Adam Wingard (enjoyed 'You're next but 'The Guest'..i absolutely loved that film) is enough to colour me interested. Will have to keep an eye out for this.

i never seen death note before but i have heard of it, and i just watched a teaser trailer on youtube, and it looks like it could be a little scary and looks like it will be a must watch
