Another projectionist on my watch made an even worse error and put the film reels in the wrong order once. Took two whole weeks before anyone noticed and that's only because a customer had already seen the film and knew something wasn't quite right.
Stjohn - They were called cue dots and as you quite rightly said, signified to the projectionist when they had to switch over projectors to go from reel to the next. They were actually redundant because most cinemas would have had a single reel platter system from the 80s-90s onwards, so only one projector needed and is what made multiplex cinemas possible. They were useful as a reference point for projectionist but that was all really.
All UK cinemas went fully digital in 2011-2012, so no 35mm film, projectors or projectionists. A sad time.
Back to the ever wonderful Nana; seems she's back from a short break and was looking super sexy this morning in red high heels. I don't have a foot or shoe fetish (in fact I find men obsessed with shoes and feet a lil strange) but I can't deny she looked good.
