  The casting of Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell as father and son is so perfect. Kong Skull Island is my favourite instalment in this recent connected storyline. Despite this story being made for TV, the visuals still look on the same level and quality as the multi-million dollar summer blockbusters that preceded it; Kong vs Godzilla, King of Monsters and Godzilla.

  Episode one
  It picks up where Kong Skull Island left off. The events take place over various global locations and at different time periods. It takes a bit of time to set up the characters but the ending will make you want to watch episode two immediately.

  Episode two
  In the present our protagonists are pursued due to them delving into the information that they have obtained, which has alerted their presence to someone they need to evade. So they look to seek refuge from someone and gain more knowledge. In the past we see the formation of an alliance that will change the future.

  In the present, the group flees from one country to another, in order to uncover a mystery. In the past, the group need support in order to continue their objective, and it is given to them, but not in the way they had initially hoped.

  In the present one of the group is in danger and it's a race against time in ensure their survival. Fractures begin to show in terms of deciding the best course of action and a parting of ways arises. In the past bounds are formed in an unexpected way, and bonds are broken at an unexpected time.

  Episode five
  In the present, the group needs to go to a hard to reach location in order to obtain some valuable information that will assist them in their quest, but in order to do that it will bring back a lot of painful memories. In the past, we experience up close how traumatising it can be to live in a world alongside the titans.

  Episode six
  In the present, allegiances change due to disillusion with directions. The group are being tracked whilst on their way to find what they came to look for but once they get there, someone else arrives unexpectedly. In the past, the group need to split their resources to gain what they need but it might have backfired on them and given them a result that they didn't want.

  In the present, one of the group is separated from the rest and we need to find out where they've gone and who has taken them. In the past we delve into someone's backstory and how their actions have had an effect on their live and the wider world as a whole.
