  While i was aware of this film it was never gonna be on my cinema to do list despite its director being the legend that is Tim Burton. Has anyoone else seen 'Miss Peregrinne's home for peculiar children?. What did you think? Saw this available for download and given the seemingly largely positive reviews, thought me and the fam would give it a crack with our sunday lunch. Have gotta say..we were glued, this turned out to be a pleasent suprise of a film. Not over long, while the initial build takes a little while it never creeps into the realm of boredom. With solid performances from the bulk of the cast, an ample dose of menace and excitement..this made for an enjoyable couple of hours. Recommended.

  this is like a xmen 2 spin off the way they have powers and they find this house where their are other like them, trailer looked pretty good, first time i heard of this movie to and will watch it

  i watched it yesterday and found it very good lots of weird stuff goes on the twins are great especially when they unleash there power i would recommend everyone gives it a watch

  Oh Dony, dont go into this expecting an xmen clone as you will be disapointed in that respect..this is a different entity entirely, far more kiddie friendly and low key (well, perhaps prior to the films climax anyways). This is enjoyable in its own right (think it was based on a kiddie novel although cant be sure). Glad you enjoyed the film as well, steve40. Was wondering what the deal was with the twins. Kinda predictable that their gifts of sort would be utilised prior to the films climax (that said their particular gifts would have come in handy earlier on in proceedings even though the nature of their gift / power is some what uncontrolable).

  i was at tesco earlier today and see it in the book section so yes the film is based on a book

  i will take your words for it and check it out, hopefully its on netflix, working on getting a code box so i can find all these movies alot more easy, because alot of these movies dont come on skytv

  Thanks for the heads up, Steve40. Not that i would ever read the book/s but atleast given the events of the film, unless it bombs at the box office, think its safe to assume that there will be a sequel. Code box..whats that? You are right though, Dony, with more and more films and shows becoming exclusive to individual services its no wonder that more and more people are torrenting or streaming illegally..ppaying for all these different services gets damned expensive so of course people are gonna seek less legal means.
