Melissa McCarthy stars in hilarious new comedy, Life of the Party, which is written and directed by Melissa and her husband, Ben Falcone, who also created The Boss and Tammy.
Falcone directs his wife once again in a movie about a bored, middle-aged mum named Deanna, whose bitter divorce spurs her to re-enroll in college and make up for all her missed opportunities. Reborn as “Dee Rock”, Deanna parties alongside her daughter, getting up to all sorts of mischief. Check out the trailer:
The film has a pretty awesome cast, including Gillian Jacobs and Maya Rudolph, so expect plenty of hilarious moments. I'm a huge fan of Melissa McCarthy and her films are always great for comedy value, if a tad ridiculous. But who doesn't love a goofy movie every now and then?! Life of the Party is due for UK release on 11th May 2018. -

Tammy wasn't bad but The Boss was fucking atrocious. She's funny but she definitely has a schtick for verbal violence with an obtuse edge to it. If it's another one of those then it'll be getting a bit old. I was hoping this was from the writer of Spy which was brilliant.
