Meet Nadine, the humanoid robot created by the legendary Prof. Nadia Thalmann. She was created to be a companion robot but also works as an assistant/receptionist at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore where she greets visitors and even remember their names and conversations they have previously had.

This video shows Nadine having a chat with her creator and it makes for quite uncomfortable viewing. It gives you that uncanny valley kinda feeling where you're watching something that looks human but there's just something that doesn't sit quite right. Hold on to your hats guys, the sentient robots are coming!

I've heard that his code is being used in gyms to help patrons achieve peak performance.
