  Will they ever be able to stop match fixing, somehow I doubt this as there will always be people out there willing to splash out the big bucks to the not so strong minded player or the player who for whatever reason needs some quick money. They will never stamp it out but hopefully the officials can make it harder to do, how do they spot the signal that something is about to happen though, I mean is the guy replacing his sweatband or gloves because they are wet or because a fix is on?

  Unfortunately, like crime itself, it will never be eradicated.
  Unless you get someone to follow a player 24/7, then get another person to follow that person to make sure they aren't doing anything dodgy and so on.

  i dont think it will ever completely be eradicated, but i dont think it ever will in any sport or even anything where you can pay someone to do what you want

  very true it will always be alive where money can be exchanged, when you can end up in prison for it it seems a little stupid but you know what they say... money talks

  I think that people were a bit naive when they caught Cronje, they thought it had been nipped in the bud and that a deterrent had been put out there but that wasn't the case! Young men in sport will always think they are untouchable because they have always got right what they were trying to achieve, they don't like just having the cake that they can see in the window, they want to eat the whole tray!

  Match fixing will never end when cricketers head isnt in the game and they suddenly think theyre struggling. There needs to be a heart for the game. I believe regulations will need to be put out but its utterly disgusting and always a shame to see such a talent go waster, mohammad asif was ridiculously good
