  lol i've only just now bought and started playing this game, the third one in the series that is and it is actually pretty good including the online multiplayer as well.
  
  i'm wondering if anyone knows, is it worth playing the second one Mass Effect 2 - like how much worse are the graphics/gameplay that Mass Effect 3?

  With ME it's worth playing all 3 games, you will understand a lot more of what is going on if you play the second one and the graphics are not much worse at all from 2 to 3.
  
  The most enjoyable thing for me with these three games is seeing my choices have ramifications down the line, looking a how i moulded the story as i went and what effect my decisions made, i would strongly recommend playing 2, it's not just a case of missing stuff in 2, you will also miss out on stuff in 3 if you don't import your game from 2 once you finish it (and 2 will be really cheap by now, steam may well be doing it for a fiver)

  yea thats wAT I'm seeing now playing three. i've never seen this in a computer game before . usually the link is weak between games so that the player never actually feels like, oh shit wtf is going on, like what the hell did i miss lol, like walking into a half completed conversation. maybe i'll check out 2 before i finish 3..

  Mass effect one was by far the best Mass effect game. The second one was also solid, the third one started off well but got kinda boring not to mention the AWFUL ending of the game, they addressed it with an alternate DLC ending but it was still super meh

  well i've gone back to play mass effect 2 and i gotta say it's quite a bit different to mass effect 3 in terms of quality, well to me anyway. the combat does not feel as good and the story doesn't seem worth it. too bad i didn't play it back when it was "new" or play it first lol.
  
  plus ME3 multiplayer is pretty kick ass too
