  Having finally watched this last week when i was away, i have to say it's an excellent film, joss whedon didn't dissapoint.
  It was well balanced all the characters got a fair amount of screentime and all the lesser powered characters (Black Widow and Hawkeye) weren't made to lool useless (around the more powerfull characters that could have very easily happened)
  Also having stayed till the end of the credits i can safely say there is nothing right at the end, just that bit part way through.

  the film was amazing for me personally it was all about the hulk he stole the show and made it worth every minute. i cant wait for the next film i have read some where it might have dr strange and ant man.

  I watched this film recently too. I was expecting it to be a bit rubbish but i was pleasantly surprised. The Hulk was pretty awesome, the bit where he says he's always angry, turns and goes green was brilliant.
  And how hot was Scarlett Johannson?!

  now the 4th biggest box office worldwide, and looks likely to be in the third place very soon, i`d like to think it could beat Avatar and Titanic (both films i found to be extremely overrated, and in the case of Avatar also a rip off of other films just with overgrown smurfs) but back on topic i don`t think Avengers will manage to get over 2 and a half billion.

  I went to see it again today, It really stands up well to repeat viewings and i may even take a 3rd look at it before it leaves the cinema as it's fast becoming my favourite Mavel Studios film. It's a shame about coulson but at least he went with a bang so to speak...."Oh, so that's what it does"....awesome.

  Yeah i'm really tempted to give another watch in the cinema as well, i usually watch them once in the cinema and if i like it buy the dvd/blu ray, but really want to see Avengers again in the cinema.
  Yeah poor Coulson, he was cool, liked his character, although having seen a lot of joss whedon's work, i expected something bad to happen to someone, just wasn't sure who to.

  Despite still being shown in the cinema you can now pre order Avengers Assemble (i still really think they should have called it just The Avengers) it came up in a different thread were it related to it and thought it would be worth a mention on this one, 16th of september i think is it's release date on dvd/blu ray.
  
  On a side note this film is officially the third highest grossing film ever and still doing good business.

  so heard an interestong rumour, according to something i read on some website (can't remember what site exactly) they are planning on re-releasing a directors cut version of the Avengers in cinema's in august or something, i don't think that's true though to be honest since the dvd is released in september, would be interesting if it was though
