  The Blade movies were pretty huge back in the day - granted they didn't date very well but Marvel are trying to change all that by bringing back ol Wesley Snipes for another movie.
  
  
   
  The first Blade movie recently celebrated its 20th anniversary (damn I feel old) but it's still an absolute classic, albeit a bit cheesy now. If you don't remember the first movie, it was about a dude with all the strengths of a vampire but none of their weaknesses, so he can go out in the sun and all that jazz. He also protected other humans from vampires so he was a pretty decent bloke. He wore badass leather outfits and said cool shit like "The world you live in is just a sugar-coated topping! There is another world beneath it: the real world. And if you wanna survive it, you better learn to PULL THE TRIGGER!" Ha. Goddamn!!
  
  
  
  Blade was so popular it became a trilogy but let's not go into that too much because Blade II and Blade: Trinity were dogshit. But if Marvel get their hands on it, there's no telling what could happen to the vampire hunter. Marvel have brought out some epic movies (Thor: Ragnarok, Infinity War) but they've also missed the mark on occasions (Thor: The Dark World, The Amazing Spiderman, Ghost Rider) so only time will tell if they can nail a new Blade. Speaking to Vice, Snipes said he's been in talks about the new film:

  Your guess is as good as mine as to whether it’ll be Blade 4 or a new take on the character but let's just hope Snipes can still get his old ass in those leathers!

  Idris Elba, Jamie Fox, Anthony Mackie, Micheal B Jordan, John Boyega to name a few. I would rather take the heat on the whitewashing of the character than see Snipes in the role again. Michael B Jordan would be first choice but probs can't do that on account of him being Killmonger in Black Panther.

  Not sure how a new Blade movie would work with Wesley Snipes now.  I don't think he's quite got the badass looks nowadays.
  I have no clue who'd be good for it, as long as they don't do that fucking stupid looking lip bite that so many black actors and singers do all the time.  If you don't know what I'm referring to, watch a Neyo video of even an interview, you'll get it.
  
  
  As for the original movies.
  Blade was good, Blade II was OK, and if they'd removed all of the blatant product placement (Jessica Biel loading up tunes on her iPod) it might have been a passable movie, even with the somewhat confusing ending.

  i havent seen wesley snipes in a new movie in years, he must be like 60 years old by now, but im still looking forward to this as i liked all the blade movies, so i hope this is good to
