A new Tank Girl movie could be on the cards with Margot Robbie’s production company calling the shots.

According to Tank Girl comic co-creator Alan Martin, Margot’s company, LuckyChap Entertainment optioned the rights from MGM. Here’s what he tweeted:

https://twitter.com/AlienMartian23/statu...9215117313 Alan Martin and Jamie Hewlett created the first Tank Girl comic in 1988 and went on to become a ***** favourite. The stories followed Rebecca Buck who lived in and drove a tank. She went on a bunch of missions for a dodgy organisation before making a huge mistake and being declared an outlaw. The comic was made into a movie in 1995 staring Lori Petty & Naomi Watts but it sadly bombed at the box office.

We’ve only got Alan Martin’s tweet to go on for now as to whether it’s actually happening or not but if anyone knows what’s going on it’s probably him to be fair. I don’t reckon it will be long before Margot announces she’ll be producing and starring in the new Tank Girl movie. It’ll definitely be interesting to see if this goes ahead. I personally love the original film so I’m slightly dubious about what they’re going to do to such a ***** classic but Margot is a pretty awesome actress so it’s in good hands I guess.
