  You hear this bollocks a lot from managers these days "we could've scored more goals"! Well then Louis, why didn't your team score more goals? The honest answer is very likely poor quality finishing! Man Utd are clearly week up front. It seems to me that such a big club as Man Utd who has a problem scoring goals, needs a world class number nine! The likes of Sergio Aguero, or Diego Costa! But no, Man Utd insist on playing Wayne Rooney out of position, calling Marouane Fellaini a striker? and their only real number nine in the form of Anthony Martial isn't proven world class!
  
  So, what do you expect Louis? I would expect a lack of goals as has been the case! Muppets! :)

  Full disclosure here - United fan. Not necessarily a huge LVG fan but I do think he gets more stick than some purely because he is at United.
  
  When he said "we could have scored more" I don't think he was blaming anyone but ourselves, or as you say, the finishing. Which is true, there were atleast 2 excellent chances that should have been taken better. I don't think it is fair to criticise him for pointing this out.
  
  And I don't think you can blame everything on Rooney, or the lack of another CF. World class strikers have been thin on the ground for a while now, and while Rooney is not the player he was he is still a great player. Aguero of course is incredible, but I don't think on this seasons showing that Costa is up there at all.
  
  Or to put it another way, Arsenal are probably favourite (or second favourite at the least) to win the league - but who would you rather start up front in your perfect XI - Giroud or Rooney? 
  
  I know all the "anyone but united" crowd are loving the issues we have been having - but real united fans know the score. We don't have any god given right to be at the top - we just have to support our team until we get there again. There was always going to be a massive shift when SAF left, if anything I thought it would have been worse than it has been. Arsenal fans should really think about whats going to happen to them......after all, they have hardly won anything even with their great man.
  
  But yeh......Fellaini is shit.

  the players need to be allowed to play with more freedom and express themselves. this run of home games without a first half goal is absolutely unacceptable, especially when the united of old were all about going for it at old trafford. in my opinion martial needs to be playing through the middle with rooney in behind him...that would provide the biggest attacking threat for united

  Actually, playing Anthony Martial through the middle with Wayne Rooney just behind him is an interesting idea I think. That's more their natural playing positions. Objectively, when one looks at Man Utd's stats this season, they're not bad per say, just not good enough so far to get them into a Champions League position which is their minimum target. I think if they can start scoring more at home and conceding less away, then they'll be able to finish top four. It's still all to play for which I suppose is positive for Man Utd fans!
  
  To be fair to Man Utd fans, they seem to know they're not fighting for the Premier League, but for a Champions League place next season :)

  Liverpool 0-1 Man Utd! I think the better team won on the day. This was a good close match. It was Liverpool who had the most chances, but couldn't convert. Man Utd were solid defensively and made their chances count, with the help of mistakes from Liverpool. I think this game shows the importance of not making errors. Liverpool played so well for so long and paid the price for a moment of bad defending. Avoidance of error is so important in football as it is in life. A very much needed three point for Man Utd puts them back in the fight for a Champions League place!
  
  A lot has been made about Man Utd's lack of goals this season! This season they've scored more than Liverpool, but people seem to forget that :)

  ManUtd played terrible in the first half against Liverpool pretty much had the better first half, and really should have put away there chances,
  
  Many have said it was the game plan to play like that but i severely doubt that, but to ManUtd credit they made adjustments and came out and played a better second half,
  
  Wonder if ManUtd will eventually sign someone this winter transfer window, not heavily linked to anyone like we usually are

  Would love to see Fergie come back and try to turn this team into title contenders. Theyve been a bit fortunate this season and other teams deserve to be above them.

  just been grinding out wins, not been winning pretty, liverpool game should of been a draw
  
  they got southampton next and i doubt that will be a walk in the park, attack needs to be stronger, and there is still no strong link to a playeer in this transfer window, which is really weird
