  Rafael Da Silva, the aggressive terror of a right back, has been sold to Lyon. For only around 2.5 million. I'm kind of sad about this, I thought he would have been a brilliant player if he could just keep his temper. Think he's a waste of a great player

  yes i agree hes temper did let him down a lot i know what you mean but still you have some other quality players now i see you guys doing well this season as-well if your team gels ok!

  Yep.  If last year was 'transitional', 5 new faces and another 3 needed looks like more of the same.

  Gareth Bale wasnt even worth what Real Madrid paid for him in my opinion. But if Manchester United wanna go and spend a proper stupid amount on somebody who stands in Messi and Ronaldo's shadows.. let them :P I mean im not saying Bale is utter shit, just not worth these silly prices.
  But you never know, going and playing in Spain might have improved his game and skill... LOL.

  100million is an insane amount of money for a player who apparently isn't playing that well. What is he smoking. Don't get me wrong I would love to see Bale at United, but at a price that makes sense. If I had been with Real, I would have been laughing my way to the bank.

  Benitez says bale isnt for sale and dont see him going anyway especially cos the fans will get pissed off they havent brough anyone big in yet, guess theyre waiting on di maria, just wondering if de geas actually gonna go now, i mean real surely have to show off a player every year?

  Everton defender John Stones should join Manchester United instead of Chelsea, according to former Red Devils defender Rio Ferdinand.
  The Toffees have rejected at least one £20m bid from Chelsea for 21-year-old England international Stones, with United also thought to be interested.
  "If he goes to Chelsea, he's not playing every week," said Ferdinand.
  "If you tell any young footballer to leave a club to sit on the bench, you've got to be a lunatic."

  Since joining Everton from Barnsley in 2013, Stones has made 44 Premier League appearances and earned four England caps.
  Toffees boss Roberto Martinez has said he is determined to keep hold of the centre-half.
  Ferdinand added: "He's at that stage of his development where he wants to play every week.
  "If he goes to Manchester United, he plays every week so that's the right club for him."
  Ferdinand, who played 453 times for United, believes Old Trafford boss Louis van Gaal needs defensive improvements.
  United have Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo, Jonny Evans, Paddy McNair and Tyler Blackett as central-defensive options, while Daley Blind also played there during pre-season.
  "I don't think Van Gaal knows his best defence - that's a problem in itself," said 36-year-old Ferdinand, who retired at the end of last season.
  "Part of the reason he doesn't know it is because he hasn't had a chance to watch them all play over a long time - consistently for 12 or 15 games.
  "If you don't get that familiarity between you as defenders, it's difficult to build foundations."

  i reckon stones would be perfect for utd , but thinks hes still got one more season to prove at everton and is the right thing for him. then again maybe the prospect of champions league football could attract him and playing instead of on the bench at chelsea , plus a big salary bump lol

  I think Stones would be a great signing for United, or any team really. I also agree with you that he'd probably be better cutting his teeth at Everton for another year, getting most of the games. But, If he's guaranteed first team and it'll get him in the door definitely. Just wondering who he's going to get rid off...Johnny Evans would be my choice really.
