  True. Problem for Newcastle is the delusion that they are genuinely a big club. Getting on for half a century since they won a trophy. Great stadium, great atmosphere, passionate support but in truth mid table is over achieving.

  The problem the owner, I mean tonight I'm happy because we only lost 2-1, now I'm someone who hates losing at anything. Think people do forget we overachieved for 13 years or so before Ashley came in, now we are in a spell where we've underachieved. Bellamy said it when he was there you never saw us going down, now we've gone down twice and fear another one.

  Also forgot to say can see Man Utd winning tomorrow at Burnley and that being a turning point. Tottenham was probably a key defeat as they're probably the team most likely to challenge for the last top 4 spot.

  David Moyes still has a year left of his original six year contract, it's not too late to make him see it out.

  I'd kind of like Mourinho to leave and disappear for a bit. There was a time when he was cranky and funny. These days he just comes across as cranky. The guy needs a bit of time away I think.

  I agree that Mourinho has lost his sparkle these days. He was a real character in the past and you either loved or hated him. Now most people just do the latter. Man United fans are split over him with many thinking he will prove to be saviour in the end but others, me included, think he will walk away or be sacked before the season is out. Their start has been terrible and their cup defeat on Tuesday plain embarrassing, with Derby County outplaying them in every department. Scraping into 4th place is their best hope of success(?) but even that seems optimistic as things stand. The board seem to have lost faith in him too with no support for his wanted signings perhaps because they are considering a change already?
