Man United Vs Man City

Manchester United have started the season fantastically well after getting their expensive transfer negotiations out of the way early on in the transfer window. They splashed the cash on the likes of Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Paul Pogba and brought in Zlatan Ibrahimovic as well, and with such big name signings ,they’re expected to challenge for the title this season.
Ibrahimovic has made the biggest impact for his new club as goals against Leicester, Bournemouth and a brace against Southampton have helped Manchester United on their way to a perfect start to the season. Their Community Shield triumph kicked their season off in a good way, and they have followed it with excellent performances against Bournemouth and Southampton.
They were a little lacklustre away against the in-form Hull, but a 92nd minute winner from Marcus Rashford saw them claim all three points and maintain their perfect start to the Premier League campaign.
Manchester City have matched their opponents though. They began the campaign with a dodgy 2-1 win over Sunderland that required a late own goal from Patrick McNair, who ironically was newly signed from Manchester United.
Pep Guardiola’s expensive team didn’t have any of the same issues in a 5-0 thrashing of Steaua Bucharest though, and a 4-1 win against Stoke followed. They rounded off Champions League qualification with a 1-0 win at home to Steaua and then comfortably beat West Ham 3-1 before the international break.
However, it wasn’t the goals that got everybody talking about the West Ham game. Sergio Aguero, who has netted six goals in his four games in a Manchester City shirt this season, appeared to elbow Winston Reid off the ball. After a panel review Aguero has been banned for three matches, the first of which will be the crucial trip to Old Trafford.
This suspension stacks the deck in Manchester United’s favour. They already have the home advantage, which can prove crucial in a situation like this, but without their star man up front, I think Manchester United become clear favourites. Odds of 5/4 for a Manchester United win look good to me, and I’m going for a tight 2-0 correct score prediction.
