An interesting read but for the Tldr out there, a virus will likely become less fatal when it becomes more contagious. It wants to transmit itself more easily but not kill it’s host in order to keep transferring itself.

That’s not to say this variant isn’t still dangerous but worth reading up on when you’re being told two different things, one from scientists and one from a consistently failing Tory government.
