  A classic European away performance at a tough away ground. Smartly taken freekick by Dom, Jeremie's pace was unstoppable and Cody's finish was confident.

  Champions League vs Qarabag (H): 6-0
  We're through to the next round and that's the main thing but what makes it better was the scoreline and clean sheet.

  Premier League vs Newcastle (H): 4-1
  We showed some real grit and nouse to fight back after going a goal down. Hugo continues to be the brightest spark amongst our summer signings with his brace. Florian is really starting to show everyone why we paid so much money for him with his goal and assist. After a personally tough period of time, it was beautifully fitting for Ibou to grab our fourth and celebrate with the entire team in front of The Kop.

  Premier League vs Man City (H): 1-2
  Snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. Came out second half scores even, took the lead with a now trademark screamer of a freekick from Dom. Then he played Silva onside and Ali gave away a penalty. Our chances of finishing top four continue to shrink.

  We made being the first PL team to beat Sunderland at the Stadium of Light this season look easy. There must be a curse on our right backs this season. Get well soon Wataru. Virgil stepped up when we needed him with Mo getting the assist.

  FA Cup vs Brighton (H): 3-0
  Solid performance and result versus a strong team. Milos set up Curtis perfectly. Mo put it on a plate for Dom. Mo buried it from the spot. Rio was unlucky to have his goal ruled out for offside, due to the lack of VAR.

  Premier League vs Forest (A): 0-1
  Wasn't our best performance in the first half but our defence stood solid as we struggled to retain possession. Second half we settled down but lacked a bit of spark in attack, until Rio came on and created a glorious chance for Hugo that he should've buried but Alexis was quick to snap up. Sadly VAR deemed that he somehow handballed it, when it looked like it came off his back. So on we went to snatch it at the death again with Alexis poaching in the box.

  Premier League vs West Ham (H): 5-2
  Bit of a weird one that. We were comfortable but were slack at few times. Hugo opened the coring from early from Ryan's assist. Virg enhanced the lead from a corner. Alexis volleyed Hugo's assist and that was the end of a comfortable first half where their only threat was on the pace from counters or our loose passes. Second half they scored early but we soon setteled the game down and Cody increased our lead. They scored from a corner but Jeremie fired a cross into their box that they turned into their own net.
