  Europa League vs Atalanta (H): 0-3
  An utter shambles from start to finish. We couldn't tackle, press, cut off passing lanes, pass, win fifty fifties, pick up second balls, play a final pass, get a shot on target, find a man from dead ball situations, win long balls or play through a press. But if any club can do the impossible in the second leg them it's us.

  Europa League vs Atalanta (A): 0-1 (3-1 agg)
  Thankfully, it wasn't as bad as the first leg but it was still nowhere near good enough to reach the semis. Full credit has to go to Atalanta though. Tactically they were superb over both legs. We couldn't build out from the back, play through midfield or hold up any long balls. None of our players had any time or space on the ball. It's a shame that was our last game in Europe under Klopp but thankfully he's put us in a position to be in next season's Champions League under our new manager. Now we've just got to see if we can win our remaining Premier League and hope it'll be enough to win it.

  Premier League vs Fulham (A): 1-3
  Apart from the last few minutes of the first half, we looked relatively decent today in comparison to how we've played for the past month or so. Having Trent back was a massive boost, not just in terms of his beautifully taken free kick, but also his ability to make passes from deep. Cody has worked his way into some form at the right time too. Diogo does what he does best and sealed the victory with a goal. Ryan's goal was world class and I loved the sound of it hitting the post before nestling in the back of the net. With only five games left, we've just got to win them all and hope that it's enough to seal the title.

  Premier League vs Everton (A): 0-2
  If I was offered a top four spot and a trophy at the start of the season, after what happened last season, I would've took it. But to have come so close to winning a quadruple it feels underwhelming. We started the first half hour awfully and couldn't when anything in the air and kept giving away freekicks. Then in the last fifteen we wasted numerous chances to draw level. Second half started OK but we gave away another stupid set piece goal and it was game over. There is no way Man City are dropping points in two games and Arsenal in one, so that's the season over. And now today there are rumours that Slot will be our new manager, so we'll see what happens there.

  Premier League vs West Ham (A): 2-2
  Our inability to keep clean sheets has been the main reason why we've not won more than one trophy this season. At 2-1 we neither looked solid enough defensively or ruthless in attack to get all three points. There will be discussions in the media about Klopp and Salah's quarrel on the touchline, but I don't think it really matters, I think everyone from fans to players just want the season to end now. Playing Spurs and Villa in our next couple games could make the fight for Top Four interesting now. The strange thing was that I don't think we played that badly today, we just had two lapses in defence that West Ham capitailized on.

  Premier League vs Spurs (H): 4-2
  Even when we're good, we still can't keep a clean sheet. But apart from that we were really good. Spurs started brightly, but once we scored we took control and looked comfortable. Then we made a couple of subs in the second half and looked shaky for about ten minutes, and that's when Spurs pounced with two quick goals. It could've got worse without a goal-line clearance from Joe, but after that incident we took back control and could've scored a couple more.

  Premier League vs Villa (A): 3-3
  Klopp's last way game for us was never going to be boring was it LOOOOOL. We got off to a bright and fortunate start with Martinez's error. Let then back into it too easily and then took then lead agin before half time through Cody. Started the second half perfectly with Jarrell's first Premier League goal. And we were relatively comfortable but the ghosts of the past month cam back to haunt us and we threw the game away.

  Premier League vs Wolves (A): 2-0
  That's all folks. The Klopp era is over. It's been emotional. Being back in the new Champions League next season was our main priority this season after the nightmare of last season, and we've done that. Winning the League Cup was perfect for our youngsters to experience. I wish I'd started these posts years ago and could re-read through all the events that we've been through, the highs and the lows. Obviously it would've been nice to have won a couple more trophies this season, but in a way with Jurgen at the helm it was never always really about the silverware, looking back it was somehow about the pride in just being back amongst it all for the first time since Rafa left five years earlier. And with the shape of the club, on and off the pitch on stable ground with the expansion of Anfield and the AXA training ground, it's perfect for Slot to continue the journey. We've got a good healthy mix of legends like Alisson, van Dijk, Salah, Robbo, Trent; new signings like Mac Allister, Szoboszlai, Gravenberch, Endo; youngsters like Konate, Jones Elliott, Gakpo, Nunez; as well as kids that made their debuts this season like Quansah, Bradley, Danns, Komas, Clark, McConnell; loanees like Morton and Carvalho to return too. We've  got a squad with bags of potential that just needs to tighten up defensively in order to win more. It's like Klopp said we are the superpower of world football and we now need to sing our hearts out for Arne Slot as soon as the first whistle of our pre-season starts. 
  
  I also want to give a massive shout out to our women's team too for their amazing fourth place finish in the WSL yesterday. What Matt Beard has done since his return, to bring us out of the Championship and firmly establish us back amongst the best in just a few seasons has been outstanding. Returning to Melwood has been massive and moving to St Helen's next season will be a big boost.
  
  Everyone from the owners, staff, players and fans gets a boss rating, but biggest one has to go to Jurgen Norbert Klopp. Danke for making go from doubters to believers. But it's like you recently said, all you did was remind us what can happen and what is possible when you do believe. YNWA.
