An expert has concluded that Karius was suffering from concussion during the second half of the CL final. So there you go, it wasn't his fault after all.
Dr Ross Zafonte said it was "possible" the injury "would affect performance".
He came to his conclusion after reviewing "game film", a "physical examination" and "objective metrics".
Dr Zafonte said Karius had suffered from "visual spatial dysfunction", a process which hampers a person's ability to process visual information about where objects are in space.
He said it was "likely" that would have occurred immediately after the event that caused the concussion.
Karius collided with Real defender Sergio Ramos early in the second half of the final - when the score was goalless - although doctors have not pinpointed the moment he was concussed.
Minutes after that collision, Karius threw the ball against Real striker Karim Benzema, and it rolled home to give the Spaniards the lead. -

Think the title loosely translates as 'Liverpool's signings since Klopp took over in 2016'.

They've had to include academy product Trent Alexander-Arnold to get a full XI, but even so, a real nice set of shiny new players there. -

Transfer fees have gone quite mental since that first quote though. A Phillippe Coutinho now costs £140m, for example.
When you're reinvesting that money do you a) push the boat out for a few quality players or b) stick to your principles and buy 10 average ones? -

Liverpool paid Inter Milan £8 Million, for Coutinho(I think)
Barcelona paid Liverpool almost 20 times that, and he's on the bench for them most weeks
He's a quality player, don't get me wrong, but was no way worth over £100 million, imo anyway -

I agree. But it just goes to show that the old rules of what we think a player may or may not be worth don't really apply any more. -
