  come on you can't be serious - yes ronaldo works hard but that's where his role modelness stops - he crashes cars, he is a very bad leader, he sulks, he shits all over his portuguese team mates when they lose in the world cup AND tried to get his teammate wayne rooney sent off in international competition - wtf kind of role model is that?
  
  messi, other than his tax stuff is humble, modest, quiet, doesn't whine, gets on with the game even when madrid and chelsea defenders are kicking the shit out of him and now this season he's adjusting his game so he isn't just scording goals but serving them up for neymar on a plate

  None of the above makes him a bad role model (well, maybe the sulking). He is a visual and physical representation of what working hard can get you. He is a great guy off the field as well. He always has time for fans and gives a lot to charities and all that lark. He's fantastic. Again, not that Messi isn't, I just prefer Ronaldo.

  Oh come off it. You're acting as if no player in the world has ever done something wrong on the pitch. I haven't contradicted myself at all.

  there are other players who deserve to be called a good role model a LOT more than ronaldo, it's just that most of them (except messi) are less talented and not as good/famous as he is, that's all.
  
  fouling and diving is one thing, unfortunately it's part of the game (even biting is nowadays lol) but what he did with rooney was a real prick thing to do, unbecoming of a "role model". and if hard work is the only thing left to admire in him, well there are many players who work hard

  The Rooney thing happened way before he could be called a role model. It was after that very world cup that he started to cut the shit out and began the path from good/very good to world class. It was in this period that he earnt his role model status so to say the Rooney incident was the unbecoming of his role model status is silly and incorrect.
  
  And again, you're acting as if he's the only player to have ever done something wrong, Messi is guilty of similar things on the pitch for instance. They are both role models, I just think Ronaldo is a better one and a better player. You obviously think otherwise so let's just leave it at that.

  fuck,he is just the best player that has ever lived,you look up records of all the greats,,none have made such an impression in a team or roasts players and makes the game look so simple like he does,you forget he has 10 other team mates to help him look good (i mean great),but he just lifts the whole team too with just his presence,as for the team they are superior to any others,to me they are boring ;) they are the Mercedes of the soccer world,it just gets boring seeing them take the piss out of every other team,i,d like to see them lose once in awhile just to make them look human
