i don't agree the CS and the HDFW is the best album though, would be either 3 dollar bill yall or significant other.
Well i didn`t know the exact date mate because i haven`t been able to buy it yet, i sort of guessed but i did think it was late last year, didn`t realise it was early last year, 3 dollar bill yall is actually my least favourite of their albums, i like significant other though.

They were shit at Sonisphere last year. They could have played another 3 or 4 songs easily, but instead you had Fred Durst yapping on between songs or DJ Lethal playing some records, so they had absolutely no momentum at all. Shame as I've seen them live twice before and they were good both times.

The jocks and fratboys still loved it though :S

I didn't go to sonisphere mate so didn't see them obviously lol, but every band puts in an iffy live performance occasionaly, and they had not long reformed so they might of just been getting used to being on stage together again.

a couple friends of mine went to sonisphere and got to meet fred as one of them writes for a big metal mag, both of them said they were pretty decent live, they played songs from chocolate starfish in the main and they sounded good. just because fred might of talked a lot or they didn't play as many songs as you might of liked doesn't mean a bands performance was shit as far as i'm concerned.

Fred Durst's lyrics writing is horrific. However fairly enjoy their music.

i don't think anyone in their right mind would try to claim fred was a lyrical genius lol, i think the reason they did well is just because there stuff was enjoyable, nothing more, nothing less. it was never fantastic or ground breaking etc.. they were just good at what they did and they were around at the right time

It's all down to personal opinion though isn't it. Loads of people thought Slipknot were great, but I thought they were shit too - I left halfway through their set and watched Fozzy which I enjoyed much more.

Exactly, obviously you could never say Limp Bizkit are genius song writers, but as you said enjoyable songs, break stuff for example not a clever song but i find that it is by far the best song to listen to if you're in a shit mood.

i agree it's down to personal opinion, i was just saying that i think if i like a bands performance or not is different to if their performance was shit or not, i.e a band could put on what is technically a good performance and i just might not like it.

Yeah exactly it could be your favourite band you're watching, and they could play technically the best they've ever played, but if they choose say songs of theirs you don't like as much or in this case not play as many songs as you would like it affects how you like it.
