  Lewis Hamilton has surprised himself with with a recovery in the drivers championship after a shocking start in this year F1 season. Lewis was 34 points behind Nico Rosberg after two races but back to back victories now leaves him only nine points behind

  Just as it was looking good for Lewis, he bombed in qualifying today. He topped every practice session for the first European gp taking place in Azerbaijan but when it came to qualifying he kept messing up his braking then hit a wall in Q3 so he's starting 10th with Rosberg on pole.

  Lewis won the british gp again, i never doubt him when it comes to his home circuit

  I am pleased to see Hamilton has closed the gap, not my favourite sporting personality but he is easily less annoying than Nico who seems to think he is being the victim of bad luck every time he is not winning races, such a whiner

  Hamilton showed how to deal with a bad turn of events today, clearly Rosberg was very fortunate not to have to lift off much more significantly in the double yellow flag section, Lewis was 0.333 secs quicker in his first sector than his best set lap so without having to abandon the lap due to the flag he might well have set a time quicker than Rosberg's pole lap. However, there was no whining or bemoaning his luck or questioning Nico's actions, he accepted it and moved on, over to you Nico to show such class in future

  the only reason lewis is back in the title hunt is because Mercedes made nico let lewis past him in Monaco nico had lewis crying and blaming everything since that win everything has changed if lewis wins the title with a points lead less 17 points it because of team orders and Monaco ????

  Disagree there Steve, in my opinion Hamilton was outpacing Nico and was rightfully allowed to pass. When both have battled on a level playing field it has 90% of the time resulted in Hamilton winning races and outqualifying Nico. Anyway it's an opinions game so we are both entitled to our views

  yeah I must agree with Steve he was outpacing him and on level terms hes without a doubt the better driver

  its true what you say that lewis is a better driver and in a head to head race lewis will win most times but nico had everything going for him and everything going against lewis then monaco happened yes he was faster but he would not have been able to overtake on the track and nico would of pitted first to stop the undercut look what happened in hungry where lewis pitted first so nico never had the chance to get past now on to germany
