Haha, yeah: iTs ExAcTLy tHe SaMe As ThE oLd OnE!

Imagine, though, that you're viewing it afresh; it's just a really nice looking car, right?  Got to give old man Porsche credit where it's due for such a timeless bit of design.  Certainly can't be hating on him.

Also, if they listened to you lot and came up with some mad bastard redesign - well - that's probably not gonna fly either, is it?

Just as well stick with old faithful...  It is really good, still.

So basically you just need to spend £50 on a new model number badge for the back of your old Porsche and the neighbours will never know the difference.

Chris Harris has had a more in-depth look and a bit of a drive for Top Gear.

And here's another Carfection piece, which does much the same.

Both films featured the 450 hp, 190 mph Carrera 2S, and we have a unanimous verdict that Porsche 911s are in fact ace, still.

Who could have seen that coming?

Easier to drive but getting wider and heavier. Almost a cruiser instead of a pure sports car. 1550kg is heavier than a mid 1970s Granada.
